Church Events
We sing praises to God, pray for those in our congregation and outside of it. We have a loving pastor who preaches the Word of God with feeling and conviction. On Wednesdays, we have Bible Studies at the church, guided by the pastor, and everyone is invited to add from their experiences and the words of wisdom they receive from the Holy Spirit. We have Movie Nights once each month, on a fourth Thursday Cycle. It will be a Christian Movie we can watch with our families and have popcorn. We have Adult and Children's Sunday School at 9:30 AM before the regular service at 10:45 AM. We participate in Oktemberfest with a float and free handouts of candy, Bibles, and other items.

Serve with Us
Enjoy the traditions you grew up with! Worship with us as we sing hymns and songs to the Lord, accompanied with piano. Together, we share in our successes and our burdens, as we pray for each other’s needs and prayer request and praises. Grow to know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through sound doctrine preaching of our pastor, passionate about preaching the Bible accurately, as we grow to know God’s love, mercy, and kindness, and still His holiness, righteousness, and judgements. Fellowship with our members and experience the love of Jesus shining though us!

Connect with Others
The Bible says, "Forsake not the gathering of the brethren" (Hebrews 10:25). In gathering together, we reinforce the beliefs of Jesus Christ against the outside world which is following the guide of Satan and people's own self-interests. We gather weekly and have communion once a month. We are a family who cares about each other and friends who are closer than the world's friends. We pray for each other, as well as for the welfare of our country and all its citizens. We have fellowship meals from time to time and it is a chance to get to know each other better. When we are in heaven, everyone will fellowship with each other, so with Christian love, we practice this fellowship at our church.
Missions
Mission Outreach
Engage in impactful mission projects locally and globally to bring hope, support, and positive change to others. Calvary Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church, and therefore we contribute to the Southern Baptist Missions. These missions include the William and Garlinda Hyde State Mission (BCI) every September, planting churches in our State of Iowa; the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, planting churches in North America; the Lotti Moon Christmas Offering, planting churches all over the world; and the Cooperative Program, money used for church care and assistance, disaster relief, scholarships, and more! We also seek to serve our local missions where God has planted us! Whether school drives such as “Stuff the Bus”, or food drives like “Marshalltown Food Box”, we seek to serve our community in different ways as the Holy Spirit leads us to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Our Purpose and Beliefs
Calvary Baptist Church (SBC) is dedicated to spreading the message of Christ's love and salvation to all. Our community is bound by faith, hope, and love, striving to serve God and our neighbors with compassion and grace. Being Biblically sound in our doctrine is our hearts desire. Together, we seek to work together as a congregation, divided into different Ministry Teams according to members giftedness, to serve the body and those in our community in diverse ways. Jesus said, “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). Seeking to follow our Saviors lead, we pursue the servant heart.
